Oliver Scissorpaws is a big stripy green cat. Like all cats, he spends his time sleeping, eating, having his belly tickled, sleeping, washing, looking out the window, and sleeping. Sometimes he goes out for a poo. Then, he likes to have a sleep.

And, like all cats, he requires that everything stays exactly the same. He likes chairs and cupboards and doors to stay in the same place. He likes his food bowl to stay in the same place. He likes his dinner ready in his food bowl at the same time every day.

One day, everything changed. Oliver Scissorpaws was put in a box and taken to a house that was different. In the Different House, nothing ever stayed the same.

Here, a cosy corner was a cosy corner one day, and bare floorboards the next.

One day, the house was peaceful and quiet. The next day it was full of big strange bipeds, hammering, banging and whistling.

One day Oliver's food bowl was in the kitchen, the next day it was in the hall. Eventually, it disappeared altogether.

Oliver shouted and shouted. The food bowl did not come back. Oliver decided to go Home.

So, one cold February night, Oliver Scissorpaws sniffed the air, twitched his whiskers and marched out through his catflap.
